Created in 1983 following the encounter between a fish wholesaler, Alain Avrilla, and a caterer, Pierre Civel, GASTROMER is today a dynamic S.M.E employing 130 people, situated on the Atlantic coast in Vendée at Notre Dame de Monts. GASTROMER founded its reputation with seafood products (fish soup, sauces, potted meat, coated fish and seafood-based ready meals). Specialities and local products of Vendée (Mogettes de vendée...) are the main activities. Seafood products account for 80% of our production and local products for 20%. The creators have developed together high quality products respecting the traditional cooking. GASTROMER is the Gastronomy of the sea and the land. GASTROMER ranges are available as fresh products, as preserves and frozen products. They have kept their values since the company was created : Know-how, Quality and Innovation.
