Largest private vineyard of the Gigondas OAC….
Our Vineyard spreads over 10% of the famous Gigondas OAC. Unique in its location, legacy of the tradition we want to carry on. Since 1929, the house Pierre Amadieu, the passion of a family…Pierre Amadieu founds his company, he starts to distribute his Gigondas wines produced from his 7 Ha Family property along with a wine-making activity to meet the demand.
1950 : a commercial success and a charming roman farm hillside on the slopes of the Dentelles de Montmirail… Pierre buys the property called "La Romane" located 400 meters high: 65 ha and finally 130 ha are planted out of the traditional grapes.
1967 : the pleasure to pass on and to share … His sons Jean Pierre, then Claude (responsible for the vineyard), his wife Muriel (accounting and financial) and Pierre Jr, his grandson (responsible for the management and the oenology), carry on the work through a real passion, a real spirit of a great Gigondas house . Always looking for the perfection of each vintage, each blending, always aware of the typicity of their family story, but also bringing a touch of modernity on certain stage of the wine making and aging processes

- Flagship of our house, the Domaine Grand Romane: 40 ha of very old vines are planted at the highest altitude of our family owned-estate, this estate is vinified separately further to a severe sort of the crop.
- Pierre Amadieus' range, rich wines with a perfect Rhône expression and a lot of personality: Heritage of the wine making experience, this range is produced from the slopes of Gigondas as well as close partnerships with other exciting wine makers.
