Certificate of specificity
This European protection ensure the recognition of our traditional recipes.

Which products are concerned ?

  The agricultural or food products must :

Be otained from traditional raw products (raw milk Emmental).
Follow traditional recipes (old style jams) OR
Follow a traditional production or processing mode (free-range pork, home-made bread).

The Specificity Certification can protect :

Enhanced labels : breast-fed calf
Names of traditional specialties : Fleur de sel (salt specialty) mozzarella, Geuze, Kougelhopf...

 

What about in France ?

In order to obtain a " Specificity Certification ", a product made in France must already benefit from a " Certificat de Conformité ".

To date, there are no " Specificity Certification " products known in France.

 

How is an " Attestation de Specificité " recognized ? 

The European " Specificité Traditionnelle Garantie " (The Guaranteed Traditional Specificity ") logo is affixed on the product's label.
