The Regional Tables of France's network
The mission of The Regional Tables of France's network is to enhance regional products through its gastronomy and to federate restaurants who offer authentic products
An involved network
Some 400 restaurants from the following regions belong to the network : auvergne, Champagne-Ardenne, Franche-comté, Nord-Pas-de-Calais and Picardie.
|
Regional dishes that are either traditional and local specialties or prepared with a typical regional product enrich their menus.
Most retaurants offer a full menu with a strong regional identity..
The retaurateurs also participate in the following :
- The gastronomic promotion of their region.
- Further exchanges with their regional producers.
- Product discoveries that are still be known.
This undertaking is written out in a national charter.
A " Toque sur fond rouge " (Toque on a red backgroung) logo identifies the participating restaurants.
A neon light may also be found on some of the restaurants' front ensigns.
In the year 2000, a campaign was designed to help restaurateurs become aware of the importance of a special greeting towards youngsters in restaurants. Thus, a special logo, le " Petit Gourmet " (the Young Gourmet ), was created.
